What this site knows about you

Nothing. Not as a policy promise — as a matter of how it is built. This is a folder of static files. There is no database, no login, no analytics and no server-side code that could receive a location even if it wanted to.

Your location

The point you pick is held in your browser's memory and, if your browser allows site storage, in this browser's local storage so it is still there when you come back. It is never included in any request to preppers.world. Every scenario — the flood model, the blast rings, the water search — is computed by JavaScript running on your own machine.

What does leave your browser

Being straight about this matters more than the reassurance above:

No analytics

There is no tracking script, no cookie banner and no third-party embed, because there are no cookies and no analytics to consent to. Your web host keeps ordinary server logs, as every web server does.

Clear everything

What changes later

Accounts are planned, so that a location can be saved across devices. When that arrives it will be encrypted in your browser with a key derived from your passphrase, and the server will only ever hold ciphertext it cannot read. There will be no master key and no recovery path — if you lose the passphrase, the data is gone. That is the trade, and it will be stated as plainly then as it is here.

Accuracy

Every scenario here is a model, and each result lists what it does not account for. Read those notes. A flood map that does not know about the sea wall down the road is still useful for thinking with — but it is not a survey, and no result on this site should be the only thing standing between you and a decision that matters.
